Been checking out some GT3s in the past few days with a view to purchase. One example with a few more miles on than most seemed to be just a trifle low in the suspension dept., especially at the rear end.
Can anyone enlighten me whether 50K miles is a lot for Esprit shocks/springs? I would expect 70-80K, but hey, it's a Lotus I suppose. It also pulled like a swine to the kerbside, when I looked it was running directional tyres on the O/S front and normal on the N/S front; can this have such a dramatic effect?
Cheers

Pulling to one side is common with a stuck or binding brake calipers in an Esprit. Caliper lube will cure it most times if not replace the caliper piston. Easy fix but a good negotiation point to drive the sale price down. Tires by themselves will not pull as you describe if everything is okay. 50K is okay for the suspension in most cases.
