How do you remove the coolant header tank?

Wanted to check the connections underneath, I've undone the obvious bolt and the tank becomes loose, but seems stuck in the bracket. How do you lift it to check underneath?

I don't know the answer to the question but I'd like to add another related question: What car is the Cerbera header tank from? What's the equivalent part number?

I believe its a fiesta. Make sure the coolant pipes are disconnected. Then you just have to struggle with it. It does come out though!

There is a pipe connected to the base of the tank. You'll need to undo that to get it fully out.

It's a complete arse to get to though.

It's a VW part - from a Golf I believe

It's VW alright, or at least the lid is.

Its from a VW Corrado.Un do the one bolt,pull the two pipes out the way,and with a little bit of prising to and thro it should lift out.

Added to say un do the top pipe first,then lift out.There is enough slack in the bottom pipe to allow you to lift it clear to get at it.
