Any ideas how to stick the rubber seal back on the top of the windscreen as it came of yesterday on the motorway across the top only hit the sun visors and at 70 mph was rather alarming! went to RAC autoscreens really helpfull said whatever you do dont use superglue will crack screen , they said that rubber should bond to car shell and not screen itself put some tape on as a temporary fix which is holding but any ideas on problem ! i'm thinking about some sort of silicon just wonder if anyone had same problem and cure?

Sika Flex, its a low modulus Silicon. You need to get it from a parts stockist (Partco). Neither B&Q nor Halfords stock it. It ain't cheep at £7ish a tube, Word of warning do not fill up the entire gap! It’s a bugger to disperse and get the seal to lie flat.
Only use enough to stick the seal back to the shell. Another tip as with all silicon’s, work cleanly the less you have to clean off when it's cured the better.

Hope this helps.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me last yr, whilst.... keeping a 550 Maranello 'company'

flew off at french speeds.. causing the inevitable.. me loseing.. up till then, i had kept him following...

ended up getting the window replaced.. but that was as it needed warranty work anyway.

However, more recently, I had the window replaced again, due to the seals coming lose all over the shop, and now the NEW window seals are coming lose again, looks like a trip back AGAIN, how hard is it to make rubber stick !
