As a committee member of LCUK, I'd be very interested to see this email from this person claiming to be the Club's chairman!!
As regards your various comments about the Club; this Saturday (03.03.07) see's an AGM of the Club and if Members wish to attend they will be very welcome to do so from 1.00pm at the Heritage Motor Museum.

My understanding is that this guy claiming to be the Chairman was removed from his post by a unanimous "no confidence vote" several weeks ago. I believe his membership was also revoked as a result of "conduct unbecoming" and "exceeding his authority".
Sending out an email to the LCUK membership looks like a massive breach of the Data Protection Act to me. I can see why they got rid of him.
Pathetic case of sour grapes by the look of it.

Pretty much sums the club for me. They take your money and unless you are in the inner circles you have no idea of what the hell is going on until after it has taken place. Bar David P not one person introduced themselves to me at the fout events i have attended.For my £ 60 i received three magazines where did the rest of this cash go ??
Too much for me hence my not rejoining. Hope the new top man can at least manage to smile a little more than the last.

That's a pretty sad indictment of LCUK. I think it also reiterates why the former Chairman has earned his "former" badge.
As if any reiteration were needed after the 5 pages of bile despatched to every email address on the LCUK database.
I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Seems to be a 'everyone is ganging up on me' type of rant from Mr Fowler.
Glad he has been removed - his criticism of Dave Price was outrageous after all the hours he has put into the club.

As regards the email sent by RF to 'all the Members' he was actually using a hopelessly out of date list, so anybody who is a Member and didn't get it, you can have a copy of it if you want (contact me via PH!) but, so you don't sweat it at all, it is just one long barely focussed rant and is based only on a simple situation he cannot accept - LCUK is NOT one of his businesses, LCUK Members are NOT required to worship at his feet and LCUK is not about only him and his trivial concerns.
Boss Cerbera (hi Phil!) has responded to the committee about the email from RF with a short list of things he wanted to be clarified and he has my answers and also some from other LCUK committee members - Phil's probably still reading them, I can go on a bit as you probably realise!
Also, Craig - thanks for the comment about the work I do for the Club. It is almost never anything like a chore, certainly not when people are kind and gracious enough to thank me or acknowledge my efforts for the Club.
I 'signed up' for it all back in 1997, few things have deterred me from continuing as much as RF's recent crazed manner and the violence of his aggression but folk are almost all good people and almost all seem quite able to discern the deranged from the determined, the rabid from the rapid, the curmudgeon from the committed.
If you are a Member and you can get to Gaydon - see you Saturday, I'll be in black, again.
