Car is genuine, has recently been in some Porsche mags I believe.

Not sure it's worth that much as a conversion though, rather than a RUF VIN (even though they are the same mechanically).

I agree that a "quick sale required" on a Yellowbird seems slightly suspicions, but I think it's genuine.

Car has been discussed on here recently. It's genuine, Guy named Tony owns it and is a regular at PCGB meetings in Kent I understand. IIRC it was converted by RUF from a 3.2, so perhaps not the pedigree of a "true" RUF yellowbird such as Adam's father's....do we agree on that?

I no very little about RUF cars

whats the scoop with the interior? The seats look like they are out of a VW golf?

I think it's more a case of sticking a toe in the water to gauge how much interest there is in the market for the vehicle in question.

It also seems to be a popular way to publicise a product you're considering selling.

SE as requested.

It was on Pistonheads classifieds recently...may still be there.

Value of Yellowbird?...well there are 2 for sale at £80-£90k right now....but I reckon they should be at this car's level and this car should be sub £50k. All IMHO of course

Re the Golf seats - you should see the green car - its seats are dead ringers for those in my old Mark 3 Golf!

Those seats are Recaros. Im not sure of the model specifically but i had them in my Alpina B8, so they got around i guess. Very comfy too.

I'd rather have that red RUF than this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl

And with the change i could buy an "every day" 993
