Confused, I know what you mean. I originally booked in January with Transmanche Ferries on the 11.30pm crossing on the Wednesday Night.

However, when I went to add another vehicle last Monday, I found out Transmanche had changed to LD, but they are sailing at different times.

I am confirmed as crossing at 01.30 Thursday 14th June 2007 from Newhaven to Dieppe.

The other crossing times I believe are 7am and 7pm, but don't quote me as I didn't take note as they didn't suit our travel times.

If you have booked with Transmanche I believe they are rebooking everyone according to the new timetable, so you may be on the 7pm or possibly on the 1.30am.

If you find out any different please advise, because I have been trying to organise four vehicles and it's proved to be a bit of a 'mare.

Bishy.

Saw this thread the other day and phoned TML as a bunch of AROC members from the Sussex Coast section were booked on the 23.00 Wednesday. Confirmed time out is now 01.30 on Thursday.

Got a call from TML yesterday to confirm, one of my mates got an e-mail saying same thing.

LD Lines offer a couple of routes now...

Portsmouth - Le Havre is still 23:00
Newhaven - Le Havre is new and 12:30
Newhaven - Dieppe has basically been taken over from Transmanche Ferries and runs 01:30/07:00/18:00

So all depends what crossing your on.

I'm Portsmouth-Le Havre on Tuesday night and gutted at leaving things too late and missing out on the cabins. Grr.

I took this crossing for the Classic last year [when it was an 11.30 sailing]. I would recommend that you get any food/ drink as soon as you get on board as everything that was open seemed to close as soon as the staff could manage.

Thats the 11.30 out of Portsmouth isn't it? If so I would agree, I don;t think the restaurant was open on the outgoing crossing I did with them. Just a few snack things available from the Bars which closed early. Personally I get the impression its a freight service which justt carrys cars as they can! Might be explained by the fact they are owned by a french haulier. Having said that for a family holiday, which is what I was on, I wouldn;t fault them. Good cheap simple food and plenty off it on the return crossing. Does exactly what it says on the tin, at less than half the price of Brittany Ferries!

Chaps - Out of interest can I ask what you paid for the 11pm LD Lines Pompey to Le Havre crossing with cabin? I'm going with Brittany Ferries this year but am already thinking of doing something different in 2008.

wavey There are a few of us on that crossing. What are you going down in? Will look out for you at the pub (next to the port entrance) if you fancy popping in for a swifty before boarding.

The advantages of a cabin over a recliner are:

a) A bed instead of trying to wrap your legs round your head to get them off the floor
b) No fat blokes snoring like the loudest trains you've ever heard in your life
c) No smelly feet stuck in your face

Good Afternoon, fellow Piston heads

Theres about 6 of us from Team Stella ( Cars BMW M6 BMW 650 and a Citeron zx hang over support vehicle) Were on the Wednesday night ferry out of Portsmouth 11.00 ish sailing. Will be very disappointed if the bar shuts early was planning a little session on the way over, looks like we will have to stock up on duty free. Has anybody worked out a route to Le mans yet as we sailed via caen last year.

Also anybody camping at Arnage, we just managed to get tickets via the le mans ticket office. As all seem sold out on the le mans website.

Look forward to seeing you on the LSD Lines Crossing (one hell of a trip)

In June 2006, a crack drinking unit was sent to prison by a kangaroo court for a crime they did not commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security relationship stockade to the Le Mans Underground, where they survive as soldiers of debts. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them sober, maybe you can hire...
