My three year old Eurobox doesn't want to play.

The boot latch assembly broke one Friday afternoon two weeks ago. Just when I wanted to drive from here (Watford area) to Cardiff. I'm not leaving it unlocked and I am not going to drive down the M'way (or anywhere very far) with the boot flapping open (plus the dashboard display keeps flashing at you to tell you it's kaput!).

Still I'll pop into the local dealer... Diagnostic technique of service manager is quite interesting. He tries slamming the boot several times from a great height and with as much force as he can muster. Part needs to be replaced. Part is expensive enough - fitting it will be extortionate. I order the part - they don't like me doing that. I go to independent, and guess what? It's the WRONG part. They order the roght one. 'Phone call this morning to say it's a part that's not available - further 7-10 days wait.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because two turning into three weeks of running ....

The correct term is "travelling in ladies underwear".
