well ive had my 85 esprit turbo for about 19 months now and have just spent another £430 on getting her roadworthy which included reconditioned brake calibers and steering collum! all in all this takes the total spent to £3500 in this short time so hopefully now the sun is shining i might actually get to hit the roads again` but despite the cost as soon as you get behind the wheel you always get that smile on your face and forget about everything its cost and just enjoy the great ride! i think you would all agree.

Yes we agree on that.
I thought about an earlier model Esprit but opted for a model from the reliable years when GM owned Lotus.

Later models have higher HP and are touch more reliable. Although many like the classic look of the early G cars. 89-95 are very reliable.

It also helps if one can do our own repairs. Costs for those that can do our own repairs are less than 500-700 USD/per 15K miles.
