Why are my inlet manifold airbox,s different?

They are the same shape as all the 4.2 airboxes that I have seen but he probably filled in the ripples with filler and sprayed them up to look like 4.5's. When you next take them off look inside and see if its' ripply inside.
He/She may have added 1kg to the weight of your car, so best go on a diet for a day...

Obviously someone has made them up 'straight' because they wanted them to be sprayed the same colour as the car.But I wouldnt worry about why they are different, they are just different.
Of course you can always ring the Factory tomorrow and ask them if they were a Special order.

Thats more like it.Someone with some sort of answer.Ive got two dates of first registration??? one being April 96,the other June 96?? Its the 13th Cerbera made and was originally Rosso pearl red.One other thing i thought was strange was the fact that apart from the inlet boxs,all the other Cerbs ive seen show a 220mph speedo.Mine shows 180mph?? The colour change was done by the previous owner to me.He had the car completely gutted.Glass out,doors,bonnet,boot off,interior stripped and resprayed in the present colour. andy

Yea i noticed that on My race car. It was originaly an early 4.2 and the speedo is the same 180??

more likley that they only had 180 speedo's available at the time i don't think the RV8 was ever intended for the cerb

If you look at the picture at the top of page 2, it shows a very early 4.2 (1995), it too has the same airbox, so this backs up what Andy has said.

Silver chassis?? My 4.2 has a silver chassis. What does that signify??
