wiper blades ?

hey guys ..

This weekend my baby will recieve some TLC, i've bought new pads all round, some braided brake lines and a pair of decats .. whilst going through my little checklist of jobs i noted my windscreen wipers could do with being taken off and repainted which is all fine (well im saying its fine, i'll probably remove them and the exhaust will fall off .. i love my car ) but i'd like to replace the wiper blades whilst im at it .. im being incredibly lazy here and just asking rather than checking but the likes of halfords can't seriously sell blades for a Cerbera can they ?? .. assuming they don't whereabouts do i purchase them please ? .. coz mine suck .. big time.

I will be shorty changing my blades and wiper arms for the ones from Leven Tecchnology, have a look on their web site on the Latest News page about half way down, the complete kit is £59.12 inc vat and delivery.

I've just replaced the blades on mine with ones from Halfords. 16" blade refils I think.

Any 16" blade will fit. It's a standard fitting on the end of the wiper arm.

Go for the Leven ones, they may seem expensive, but they are a huge improvement over the standard wipers.

They are "Aero blades" i.e. the new style floppy rubber things as fitted to new VW, BMW, Volvo etc. Much neater than normal blades, and conform well to the curved glass and at £7.50 per blade, they hardly break the bank. They fit to standard wiper arms. 2 minute job to fit. I ordered a set for me and a mate, well pleased with them, and very prompt service too!

Do the Leven ones completely replace the wiper arms? My wiper arms are looking tatty with the water spray tubes having partly come off on one & I'd like to replace them with something nicer.

I've been following a Griff thread on the same subject and bought some of the aero style wipers via ebay. Not been out in the rain to test them yet, but as said, fitting is a doddle. Suggestion was that the Fiat coupe had a multi jet washer that fitted on the wiper arm, which would be a suitable replacement for the standard pikey plastic loop - Cyclone would be able to confirm what the coupe has.

Yes they do. A much neater job too.

Yes, even I could do it !

I got an early set which didn't make it clear that you can thread the washer pipes up the springs of the arms and I still haven't got round to it. The instructions might have been altered to include that now.

Yes - but ask nicely if they can make the pipe for the drivers side one much longer. Mine was too short and I ended up having to make an extension length.
