TURBO Register Website
Discussion
Hi guys,
Just to let you know that I have launched a web based registry for M-Series Turbo cars. The link is www.tvrturboregister.co.uk - Please feel free to have a browse. It’s in its infancy at the moment, but I’ll add to it over time and will ultimately aim to account for all 63 plus any replicas that may exist.
Please, if you have one of these cars or know a fellow member who does, then it'd be great if you could send in some basic details and I’ll get it logged. It'll be a long term project I'm sure but I'd like to get the "known" cars on there a.s.a.p so we can start looking deeper at some of the gaps. At the moment I am recording:
Chassis Number
Model
Owner Name
Owner contact
Basic location of car (I'll obviously not put up addresses)
Vehicle Reg. Number
Colour
Lettering type
Turbo make
Wheels
Any other Mods
Any history
Photos
Anything else MPEG footage / documentation etc. etc.
Details of any cars that have been written off / stolen!!!
I hope it'll be an informative, useful and enjoyable site for all.
Stuart.

What I can't believe is that the first time I visited the factory in 1989 the car was there, and I never photographed it. It was on my mind to ring John Mleczek up and ask if he knew where it had gone to. I thought I had mentioned this one to you, Stuart. Adrian, didn't you do another replica, a 3000S?
I rang Douglas Valley up to today, they confirmed that they still have the remains of GDM803T and that it won't be going anywhere. I have a picture of this car, and will forward it on to you for the website.
Oliver.

Hi Oliver/Stuart
I did have photos of both cars, the white cars pictures were taken whilst the car was at Team Central, and the other car has disapeared, was stolen and never recovered....The car was, a Midnight Blue 3000S Turbo SE WITH a veneer dashboard (the next slice of veneer from the sister dashboard that is in my loft) as you Oliver will know there really is no difference between the these 2 cars and the originals (Oliver if you need to ask me then do so, a part that I had to replicate in plastic rather than steel), I had hard library photo's of the rebuild, but I have looked previously and THINK that I sent them off to a prospective customer and I have not had them returned. (this was in the days before my CD slideshow pictures of my rebuilds)
Oliver, yes to the hose?, also do you have the library pictures of you build. Mail me direct.

Hi Adrian the 3000S Midnight Blue SE Turbo belonged to David Field about 1984ish the David part of David & Gerlald I've got a photo of it somewhere if you need it i'll post it up for the records.Chris I did have photos of both cars, the white cars pictures were taken whilst the car was at Team Central, and the other car has disapeared, was stolen and never recovered....The car was, a Midnight Blue 3000S Turbo SE WITH a veneer dashboard (the next slice of veneer from the sister dashboard that is in my loft) as you Oliver will know there really is no difference between the these 2 cars and the originals (Oliver if you need to ask me then do so, a part that I had to replicate in plastic rather than steel), I had hard library photo's of the rebuild, but I have looked previously and THINK that I sent them off to a prospective customer and I have not had them returned. Hi Chris, I hope you liked the Pictures ....David owned a 3000M turbo, which was torquoise and silver then TVR 6 which was converted to SE and Painted midnight blue at the factory, along side RED213, which was a Gunmetal Grey Taimar and Dennis Angelino's (I think was his name) standard 3000S midnight Blue were converted to SE at the same time. Hello,
Off topic, but, it was David Field's blue SE car that inspired me to get my M SE'd. I had it done through David Gerald's but David's master stroke was getting me the Compomotive slots in 15" and fiting the car out with the same size wheel tyre set up as their 3000S race car (at that time).

Cheers Chaps,
Great picture SEN18 thanks. I think these cars are going to be quite tricky to track down. They change hands quite often and change colour / registration from time to time...
All this info is great - details against a chassis number is even better. I can keep it on file until we get the current owners permission to release it onto the site. That is why it is key for the site that we identify the current owners, but the misc details/photos are very welcome and we'll keep them on file and use them to help piece together the jigsaw at a later date.
Adrian, I think we may have to go sit in a pub with my Laptop one evening....
