Replacement keys and alarm fobs

Has anyone got any experience of getting hold of spare ignition keys (in this case specifically a key for a 2000 fireblade with hiss) and alarm fobs (datatool veto)? I'll be contacting honda and datatool but wondered if anyone had had to get spare, how long it took and how much it cost.
