Hello Guys.....The goverment plan to introduce a further 5% Bio fuel into our petrol....Anyone have any idea how this will reflect on our Jap engines...Which prefer over 100 Octane now.....????.

Will this have any adverse effects on the Reliability/ performance on our cars....????
...............Kev.

Will be a good thing IMHO - bio = ethanol = higher octane

As long as the seals/gaskets/any other misc. rubber that toughes the fuel doesnt die, you should get an octane boost, and less expensive gas. Yay for cheap race-ish gas. err, petrol.

It should hopefully be goodbounce I caught an articleread about an Audi A4 1.8T which is running fully on this bio-ethanol fuel and seems to be a good thing both for green peace and speed freaks.

It produces more power and yet emits 50%or more LESS harmfull gasses. Also the koniggsegg (fast as f**k swedish thing) is about 800bhp on normal fuel, when it is mapped for bio-ethanol save the earth fuel it runs over 900BHPlick.

So get those standalone fully mappable ECU's bought and have a riot????hehe
