It all fits in a lowepro mini trekker. The japs may not be ready for me, but I'm ready for them...

...the plane will of course, never take off with that much weight.

...and you'll be strip searched at the airport.

...and they'll confiscate all your film.

But have a good one in detention block at Heathrow. Some nice locatons there I've heard.

If you do (by chance) get away, big relax. Send pics.

They haven't got enough room to confiscate all this:

On a serious note, i'd be interested if you get on with the tripod. I'm taking the same bag and 'pod to the usa in a while so would be nice to get confirmation that they're get-onable as hand luggage.

I've put the pod in the hold but the rest was pretty painless. Just made it within the weight limits and there was no problem with anything going through the scanners. The film will be ok as its only one scan and its low ISO film so no probs there. Just gotta negotiate the tokyo underground now and I'm home and dry.

I'm going here: http://mattwatkinson.com/blog/?p=62

Yeah, Asahi's good but Kirin's better.

Have a great time, and don't forget to visit Kabuki-cho in Shinjuku at night.
