The Moon Tonight
Discussion
Only tip I can give you is that it's a sunny day on the moon so if you took an incident reading you'd probably do what I did - F8 either 1/500 or 1/1000 at ISO 200 and then boost when you convert from raw if necessary. (D70 so it's a bit noisy by the time you get in there
)
You need to get your camera steady - I just used a Camcane (monopod), but a good sturdy tripod (can anybody pop round and lend me their Manfrotto 055 in the next half hour
) would be a big improvement for my shot.
Edited for
D70 and my new (secondhand but new to me) 500mm F8 Reflex-Nikkor, monopod, Raw converted in Raw Shooter and simply cropped down to the pixels you see.

Anyone else notice how fast the moon moves? Anything over 1.5 secs exposure was blurred
Saturn at 30 sec exposure. No motor drive on me scope yet. When I was taking shots of the moon with the plan to stack the shots, doing a shot then re adjusting to center and shot and re adjust etc.
