No reverse part 2

Last week or so i put up a post asking for advice about the Griff not going into reverse , I received lots of very helpful advice and went out in the car next day , car was fine no probs with reverse or any other gears, Got the griff out today and reverse all tricky again , so i went out and ran about for a bit came home reverse gear no probs then i looked on the drive and noticed a great big lump of rock salt laying right about where the cars parked when i shut the garage door , Now i remember having to pass a gritter a few weeks ago going like the clappers spraying its grit everywhere, i winced when i past it and heard all the clatter , I wonder could this lump have somehow found its way up into the linkages for the gearshift , Very strange .

Paul,that sounds like a good reason to get the pressure washer out and wash that chassis,i was wincing just reading this,hope that grit was your problem,a nice easy fix.

Great idea its going in for new shocks soon so will get it done then , many thanks Paul .
