I am going curtacy of Team Lang and have been offered any grandstand opposite the pits from Maison Blanche to Sommer, with the exception of the ACO. So which one is best ?

I think Sommer is very good opposite the pit exit and the big screen that shows all the action from around the circuit. ACO is best though bars, food, toilets, showers and televsions

I also think that both Dunlop and Maison Blanche are good for viewing, especially if you are far enough back to be able to take pics over the catch fencing.

Any of the ones with their own toilets. Seriously. Le Mans is the only place in the world where as a man you have to queue to use the loos! I seem to remember having to do an hour's round trip for a loo from the Sommer grandstand eek

And where women don't. Makes a nice change.

I asked for Dunlop this year but have been allocated Wimille right at the end of the pit straight. confused Anyone know what this one's like? - and does it have a giant screen nearby?

Only place us blokes get to use the girls showers too Alas not at the same time hehe

I'd recommend Sommer for a first timer, you get a reasonably view of some track action, but the screen on the opposite side of the track can be a god-send for seeing what else is going on.

Thats good news, we have seats in Sommer this year, first year we've bothered with Grandstand seats...

If you have a decco at this page
http://ticket.lemans.org/vente2/visu_
Then click on "Fiche Produit" you get a virtual look at the appropriate stand, including the location of the nearest giant screen. Quite useful.

Many thanks Cooperlola - very helpful clap - looks like we should have a good view of screen no 3
