Hi guy's and girls,

Well finally after much deliberation over a 996 cab & 987 S, I went to see Henry & the guys at 911 virgin.

We ended up coming away having left a deposit on Tom's 996 Coupe...such a beautiful car! Can't wait to collect it next week!

Anyway slight problem being I now need to sort insurance out for my missus on it. She's 28 so can anyone recommend a good company/brokers that will provide good service/price/pay out should the horrible occur.

Thanks all, looking forward to bringing our new baby to some meets.

David

Alright,

I have also just bought my first 996 - get it tomorrow!!

I have insured the car with Elephant and it is £750 FC with protected NCB and that is with my GF insured as a named driver - she is 27.. By adding her as a named driver it went up £70.. I am 29 and have 9 years NCB..

Hope this is of some help..

cheers

I used tesco,

was 23/24 and had no issues, think it was £1800 when I lived in billericay, rising to £4500 when I moved into docklands (no other changes)

Congrats on the purchase!

For insurance try www.confused.com

I regularly use them for quotes and very often they come up with the lowest.

Failing that, directline I am told are very competitive.

Yeah, try something like Confused.com or moneysupermarket.com/insurance; but keep to names you recognise.

FWIW I'm with More Than and have been for a variety of machines over the last 6 - 8 years. They're not arsed about about second cars, proof of security devices etc, and are a known brand name.

I'm 35, full NCB, £430 FC Garaged for a 986 Boxster S

Try www.expressinsurance.co.uk as they often do good deals on prestige cars. Admiral are ok as well, tehy do a two cars offer, if you can figure out the small print gettingit set up.

Providing you've had experience in previous sports car ownership/insurance I would recommend the specialist Brokers from my knowledge.

Try www.academyinsurance.co.uk and speak to Ben Tamin, very helpful and will work with you to reduce or better the competitions prices.

I'm 35 with only 5yrs NCB and pay less than £800.00 (Norwich Union Policy) for my 996GT2, which is considerably less than the majority of other quotes I was offered.

HTH.

Just had a quote for my wife with elephant for just over 800 protected NCB. I think that's pretty good.

Does anyone have experience of elephant paying out???
