leaking slave cylinder

i'am leaking fluid from the clutch slave cylinder on my S1, i think i have 3 option's
1. buy a new slave cylinder....expensive!
2. buy a secondhand cylinder from a scrapyard....from what car and will it work?
3. buy new seals and try to rebuild old one....were do you get seals and how difficult is it to rebuild?
anyone had the same problem and whats the best way to get round it?

That's what I did with mine a couple of years ago. Some fine wet and dry on the bore and a quick raid of the freebie bin at my local motor factors to find the right size seal and its been fine ever since.

If it goes again I'll probably end up replacing it but, so far at least, rebuilding the unit seems to be paying off

you can contact him via ebay,I missed the first one , emailed him and he put another on for me ,at the time he said he had lots of kits left.(just in case it wasn't you who bought the one above)

As far as I know the slave cylinder seal kit is Lucas Pt No SP 4190; you may be able to google it Ok
