internal fuel line

The Cerb, like others, has an internal steel fuelline running down the top of the centre consol.

Is this OK for scrutineering or does it need covering?

as usual wading through the blue book doesnt seem to help much !!!!

Im sure you can run steel or braied fuel hoses through the cockpit, but i'd be tempted to move them further away from you than the top of the center console...

From Jon Crook, famous ex-Tuscan Challenge scrutineer (now British GT):

"All fuel carrying pipes going through the passenger bay need to have a "second skin" i.e. steel braided or fully covered. If Steel braided pipes are used baulkhead couplings will be needed where they pass out of the wall of the car's passenger compartment"

You need to strip out the steel pipes and replace with braided. Or run the steel pipes through a fuel tight outer tube. I suspect the former is the easier option!
