I wonder if anyone can help me?

Even when I turn the vehicle off (lock it up) the fan continues to function draining the battery.

All heaters are off and I have turned the ignition off and locked the car up.
The fan continues to work completely draining the battery.

Am I missing something ?

Help would be appreciated....

Sounds potentially like an ecu fault. If you don't find a sticky relay (which I doubt because it shouldn't be getting a 'live' when the ign is off) I think you may have to get the car plugged in at a dealer.

Sorry should have pointed out it appears to be the heater fan positioned beneath the plastic vent at the top of the bonnet - seems to blow air at the base of the windscreen.

I've tried removing listed fuses, relays. And the remote heater is switched off on the keyfob control.

It is almost as if the heater controls are being over-rode and the car is trying to heat itself/windscreen.

Fuse 61 is listed in the manual as 'heater' but this is not clearly shown on the fuse panel
And the owner-manual shows a bank of 4 relays top and bottom of the right hand side of fuse panel
Yet my vehicle has 4 on the bottom vertical and just one above horizontal - very confusing

Thnx

Hi, sounds like your preheater needs an upgrade.
This is available from your main dealer.
