Doing 100mph in a 40 limit?

Something tells me the insurance company aren't going to be paying out...

I don't they can not pay out because the driver was being an arse. Fully comp insurance cover you if it is your fault.

They must have been being really silly though!

A hire car! Any hire company ought to have a full psycho profile of any driver beforwe handing over the keys...

One would think that your normal £250 Excess would not apply and would be significantly higher.

Also, if the facts are correct (it is The Sun after all), then the driver would probably face a serious Driving Ban/Fine - 100 in a 40, what a tt

seen the story in a couple of other places. As you say B055 what a t**t. Most amazing thing to me was the fact the driver was looking at the car and not the poor sod he mangled.

I read elsewhere that he ditched it after aquaplaning, and there was no other cars involved. Is this the media exagerating the story again to get the 'wow' factor?

Did you notice that the number plate in the Sun (picture of it going on the back of the transporter) wasn't blocked out

I like the reference to the 7 month old pregnant woman is in there! What responsible mother would take their 7 month unborn child out in an Astra - wont somebody think of the Children?
