Just heard on BBC news that someone's crashed a Bugatti Veyron outside Chertsey.

Apparently the Bugatti hit another car before crashing into some trees.

Quote "Insurance assessors are still deliberating if the car is a write off"

Ouch I bet that bumps his/her premium up a bit....

Probably far more expensive claims. Any of the ones involving collisions with trains causing multiple casualties would have far higher values, even if the Veyron is written off for 800k (plus 50 quid for the astra van and 10k personal injury claim from the prgnant lady).

I can think of a few shunts in F1 that probably cost more! The smash up at Spa a few years ago that took out a huge chunk of the field.

I doubt that there were any insurers involved, but the bill for the teams must have been in the millions.
