Regrettably the news about Possum is not good at all. This I copied from his website
Location: Dunedin
Possum Bourne's Condition As At 7pm - Monday 28 April,
Statement from Dunedin Hospital Medical Staff
Possum suffered a severe brain injury at the initial incident on Friday 18 April and has been managed very actively until now.
The extent and severity of the injury was not fully apparent until the weekend just gone, when ventilation support was decreased but he deteriorated and had to go back onto full support.
Evaluation today, including a brain scan, confirms the original injury was very severe and continuing full support is no longer in Possum's best interests.
How very very sad

Gutted does not even begin to describe how I feel. And I only met him a couple of times.
This is a sad day for NZ. He had such a HUGE fan base, esp wiht kids. One thing I'm really going to miss is the chance to take my future kids along to see him in action.
My heart goes out to his wife, Peggy and 3 children, Taylor (8), Spencer (4) and Jazlin (3).
