To be on the safe side, I need to get a spare Plipper for my Meta M99T Alarm. Gone on to the Meta website...all the bits are there but have I really got to find an Authorised dealer who will activate it with a 16 Digit code, or is there a quicker alternative once I've I've bought one?
Chocaholic,
If you have a working key fob, you just need to ring Carl and give him your 16
digit code which should be in your hand book and he will send you another fob.
You then put the alarm into learn mode (ask Carl)and program your new fob to the alarm system.
If you do not have the code, you will need to remove the alarm module from under the dash and send to said chappy and he will reprogram the alarm with two new fobs.
This is what I had to do when my one and only fob gave up. Two day turn round and the job was done.
He's the top bloke for Meta alarms.
Cheers
Paul.

I've got the neighbours and the Police on to me ref my alarm now going off during the night on my '93 Chim! Have no idea what alarm is on mine, the previous owner not giving me any info except he thought it was a Gemini.
Was this the standard on these cars? It has a 50x30x10mm black fob, with one rubber button at one end.
Any help would be very appreciated, as the (recently new) battery has now gone completely flat, and i need to time the AA Homestart visit with the appointment with the car security garage that i've booked her into next Monday (Moons of Gloucester). Help!

Or you can buy a new one from your dealer and follow these instructions...
1) You must have a working fob.
2) With the working fob, activate/deactivate the alarm 8 times (i.e. 8 x on, and 8 x off) the alarm will not take any more actions beyond this anyway. All other fob details will be deleted at this point (apart from the one used for the 16 actions).
3) Within 8 seconds, activate the new fob, the system will respond with a change of state (it may require a couple of attempts), the details of the new fob are then added to the data held by the system unit.
4) Any other fobs you wish to use must also be activated at this time (apart from the one used in point 2).
5) Leave the system quiet for 8 secs plus.
6) Your new fob(s) and the original one will now be synchronised with the system.
The dealer did warn me that meta systems can only take 3 fobs i.e. two original fobs plus one replacement fob, but I suspect this means a total of three fobs in the list of usable fobs.
