griff 500 master cylinder

Cheapest I could find was from here www.tvrcarparts.com/pages/partdetail.asp?id=111 but only checked a couple of sites
Its not listed in the alternate parts list on the griffithpages.com so down to those with far more knowledge then me to answer

Phone the maker of the cylinder and speak to the technical department. Have the cylinder and especially all the numbers on it to hand.
I did this after correctly being told that the brake master cylinder on my TR6 wasn't shared with the brakes on any other car.
When I finally spoke to the right man he confirmed that, but added it's a 1750 Austin Maxi clutch master cylinder.
Apparently sports car makers often use clutch master cylinders for sports cars because the size differences provide the right feel when coupled to brakes from a saloon.
Try matching it with a CLUTCH master cylinder from a saloon car of that era.

That's a clutch, not a brake.
