Is it more or do people take the p*** when the word Porsche (or Ferrari, Lambo for that matter) is uttered?

Dont get me wrong I think the majority of specialists out there offer great service. I am happy to pay this within their hourly rate so no problem there.

I am also aware they do not set the pricing on Porsche Parts so we should not blame garages for this, (actually some parts are cheap)

What gets me is the cost of consumables, namely:

Brake pads and disc
Oil
Tyres

I have therefore started a quest to get reasonably priced consumables.

GOOD NEWs

I can source Pagid RS29 pads for a 996 GT3 for

£ 256 front pair
£ 210 rear pair

(Need to add VAT and £ 50 to fit per pair, if you dont want to do it yourself)

THIS IS NOT ME SELLING THEM, I HAVE JUST GOT A DEAL WITH A MOTORSPORT COMPANY THAT AGREES WITH ME!

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW. IF WE CAN GET OVER 10 PAIRS I CAN GET THE COST DOWN MORE.

If you are already getting better pricing let me know!!!!

I hope to have some news on Mobil oil and SRF fluid next week so I will post.

Finally I have sourced the company that produces front splitters, wings and PU's in carbon for a well know tuner

GT3 splitter from tuner circa £ 500

GT3 splitter from manufacturer £ 57!!!!!!!

I am all for profit but there is a limit!!!

If were are talking standard Mk1's I got RS29's for under £200 for the front axle from Performance Braking last year.
Front discs were something like £200 each from either Type, or Design 911.
Oil - get mine from France usually - circa £25.00 for 5lt.
All above include VAT

Oil 15w50 Mobil1 Motorpsort grade £4.50 a litre - UK supplied - source not willing to disclose but definitely legit. Costco do the boggo 0w40 for £20+vat for 4 lites.

RS29 Brake Pads for front of MK2 GT3 can be obtained from out of country for much less thsn you have quoted INC POSTAGE.

Paul - where can I get the cheap RS29s you speak of? Also, how do you get a costco account if you do not have one?
