I am aiming to buy a Tamora in the Summer, it will probably be a 6 monther or a year old.
My only concern is that after a test drive a few weeks ago I have 2 points that I wish to put to you all – firstly I found that when changing from 1st gear to 2nd the gear stick knocks against the handbrake – is this common, or can this be fixed ? Secondly I found that the right side of my right foot when on the accelerator pedal is constantly rubbing against the inside of the foot well – does anyone else suffer from this ?
Apart from the above the Tamora is fantastic, looking forward to a bit more power !

Never heard of your gear change problem but my gear stick used to rub the centre console when I selected reverse. This was sorted so I can't see any reason why your problem cannot be fixed?
I sometimes catch the outside of my right foot on the side carpets too! Only tends to happen when I have my leather work shoes on which are quite wide. If I'm just 'driving' then I normally wear trainers which are narrower.
Go for it!
Cheers.... Andrew

I found the position of the footwell a bit different to my previous car to begin with - it doesn't take long to get used to it.

Might be worth asking the dealer about the gearstick...

my first one was around 600 quid but it can vary on the dealers. 12000 mile one coming up in the next few months.

Not too sure where I'm buying from yet.

I've seen 2 so far that have interested me. A silver at £34k in TVR Centre Barnet & another £34k Black at Walldonway in Larkfield.

Having never owned a TVR myself the only real factor for me is that as it will be my everyday car it needs to start first time at 5:20 in the morning when I leave for work. As I currently own an S2000 I'm basically guaranteed this.

Never had a problem starting mine, although you may find that it will wake your neighbours (a little bit better sound than an S2000)
Older Tivs did have a problem with Batteries but the Tamora doesn't seem to have this. To be on the safe side make sure you have a trickle charger fitted (not expensive)

I think flashers old car is still at TMS, never let him down, very well specced (engine is rumoured to be a 4.0)and unique colour

Yep still on TMS's website

They've had it a while so I'm sure there would be a 'deal' to be done somewhere

Jayz,

My personal opinion is that Tamora's are not everyday cars in the sense that it sounds like you are looking for something with near 100% reliability. I have had more than my fair share of problems with my car and still after a year of ownership odd things fall off, stop working etc - had three problems last weekend alone ! If you can put up with this, as most owners seem to, then go for it.

As to the issues you experienced with gear changing and pedal's I personally don't have any issues in these areas. In fact I find the Tamora pedals perfect for heel-and-toe gear changes. Best car I have ever had in this respect.

Thanks for that Raceboy I still miss the old girl.....

Here was the last time I saw her, with her replacement.
I know a good deal is available and I'm still dumbfounded it's not sold, especially as it has a year on the factory engine warranty to go....and has just had a full factory top end re-build...

Thanks chaps for your input - I'm sure I’ll be getting one in a couple of months although someone I know has just thrown a Noble into the equation but as it's not a soft top I think I’ll pass.
Also do the Tamora's have Xenon headlights ??? - if not has anyone fitted them ?

As you probably know from being a regular on here Flasher, I've got a RBB T350C being built and ready for collection in about 2 weeks (fingers crossed) but what colour was your old Tamora - it looks stunning?
