petrol leak

On my 350i theres what appears to be like a swirl pot where the two tank pipes meet before going to the pump. I dont know if this is on all cars, but mine has sprung a leak. does anyone know what its off, or even called??

Thats just what its called .. a swirl pot, they can give problems with cracks, leaks not sure where to get another one from but you could repair the old one.

When the rest of the Wedge Mob wake up later, somebody may know. Have you tried TVRcarparts ??

it's just a fuel pot to join the two tanks and keep the pump full - any tidy fabricator can make you a new one or fix your old one - alloy racing fabrications or burtons are good for stuff like this -

I remember seeing someone selling Ali / SS ones.

Also I know they have some kind of baffle inside.

but they are avl. mine went also, but was a while again, so only steel ones was avl. then. best get a Ali of SS one else it will just rust again. as they seem to be prone to getting hit by stone's from the wheels.

I got an alloy one from RT fitted to me old 350 FHC. The original steel one had a filter inside that comes loose and then cuts a hole in the side of the pot. The idea is to spin the fuel around and get the bubbles to the outside of the vortex - bubbles caused by having two fuel tanks and fuel sloshing around as you nip through those chicanes - they are called 'roundabouts' apparently.
