For commercial traffic yes, not the case for smaller local airfields. Not sure what Le Mans counts as, but I'm sure someone will pipe up with more detailed info
Can't help with any of the specifics, but a Jeppesen guide might come in handy:

I have to ask though, is flying to Le Mans the right way to get there? I found the drive there and back all part of the experience. I recon a better bet would be to see if you can hire a plane once you get there. The views flying over the circuit would be fantastic! Would give you a real sense of the scale of the event.
Some friends of ours have regularly flown into Le Mans in some sort of Cesna type plane.
They pick up a hire car when they arrive, so are mobile during the week.
I believe the only issue/hassle is that take-off slots on the Sunday evening are at a premium, so they usually leave at around an hour before the finish.

last year was certaibly an experience when the gearbox on the tuscan exploded just outside exeter! plus having driven for 2 years i am considering the flying option.
the tuscan is re-fettled, the M Roadster could eat the miles or the plane could be used to scare the sh1t out of denton!
decisions, decisions
edited to say - hello Matt - nice to see you in another forum!

Try asking at www.prunne.org.
It's the Private Pilots Rumour Network and forum. I think a couple there have flown down before.

Wasn't there some shakedown testing of a Porsche going on at the local airstrip last year (after the first evening of testing)? I seem to remember some yellow lights ripping up and down the main runway during the late evening, accompanied by huge flames on the overrun
All very cool but does this imply there might also be fewer landing slots on the evening before the race than hoped?
