do new^2 mini wheels fit onto new minis like mine (same offset etc etc?)? the brand new black 18"s for the mk2 look awesome and i reckon they'd look really good on my hyper blue mobile..(if i got some cash!). i can't get the picture of mini.co.uk but they're the ones described thus:

"The Double-Spoke 18-inch light-alloy wheels come in three variants: matt black (pictured above), burnished with black cavities or composite. Available for all MINI models."

I have two MINI's one 53 plate with 15" rims, the other is an R56 (the new new one) with 17" rims.

I find that the decrease in tyre wall height causes the R56 to suffer from bump steer and tramlining. It has significantly poorer road holding and poise than the car on 15" rims. This relationship between tyre wall height and handling is well documented and many on the TVR forums understand the problem. If you put 18" wheels on the car will look great but it will drive like a dog. IMO drivability is more important than looks.

The JCW road cars come with 18" rims but the JCW race team dropped back to 17" (or possibly 16" ) rims for improved road holding.

As for the offset and PDC I don't know but I doubt there's any difference.

DJ01s i believe - borrowed some from Keith Issatt

The cars feel very different on the smaller wheels. It does depend on what you are used to.
