Hi

Now the weather is getting a bit better, thinking of getting a Westfield. Dunno what engine, probably 1800. I'm 25 and its gonna be a weekend thing. Can someone recommend some good insurers to try please?

Footman James are very good. Adrian Flux also insure kit cars. I'm with Footman James.

Or try a search here. I am with MSM, and they are very good (but then again, I am old!).

Adrian Flux here, I had a claim 2 years ago, was dealt with swiftly, my fault no other cars involved. Premium didnt go up by much either, I was expecting the worst considering the payout.

Try Sureterm Direct, really nice people to deal with, £118 fully comp for me and my other half.

Wow, how cheap are flux's?

I'm 25, they said if i garage it, limit miles of 3000 and as long as i have another car, 178.30 and it didn't matter if its a 1600, 1800 or 2000. They weren't that much more for a bike engine. Tried Sureterm, they were 223 and Footman James 240 with fj including breakdown which i dont need so pointless really.

Thanks for the recommendations, just gotta find a westfield now.

I got my insurance with adrian flux, kit car insurance. They told me that the price is based on the miles, value of the vehicle and my no claims, engine size doesn't come into it, the damn thing could produce 10bhp or 500bhp it has no bearing on the quote.

So for a Sylva Riot SE valued at £9000 on 3000 miles a year garaged, with 6 years no claims comes in at £350 fully comp.
