Does anyone have a running 1275 engine and box thy want to sell, I will take a complete car. The head gasket went in my flame on Thursday and rather than fix the 998 I’d rather fit a 1275 lump.

If you have one in London or the south east please email me or call on 07950 932223

Cheers

Paul

I thought so!

I got a set of discs and pads for £18, yes £18 they are probably made of old coke cans or something but I’ll see if it sorts out my vibrations when braking. Also got one of the cool art t-shirts with a green Griff 500 on it

Did you go along? Get anything good?

I did look out for the chimera but didn’t see it.

My plan was scuppered at the last minute due to non sticking Winnie the Pooh stickers and not being able to paint a straight curvy line after (somewhat stupidly) deciding to paint the nursery on Friday.

Hey ho, Himley or London/Brighton instead then.

Paul, I don't know if you've got an engine now, but I have a 1984 Mayfair which we fitted a metro 1275 engine. She hasn't been used for about 18 months (When we bought the tvr) but was started a couple of weeks ago, and still runs like a dream.

I'm looking to sell the whole car which also has original 12" cooper alloys, front disc brakes, straight through exhaust, cooper mirrors, and lots of chrome bits! Post a reply or send an email if you're interested.

Clair.

Got the metro last night, not sure if it will be any good but only paid £45 and its got the electronic ignition etc so worth it for that.

So if anyone wants Metro stuff let me know.

Clair, you car sounds nice but I don’t think it’s for me, try advertising on miniclassic.com or miniboard.com.

No just a 1.3 clubman, not really going to make much difference to me though, toying with the idea of changing the cam, I’ll see how it runs first!

are the brake calipers the 4 pot ones? oh and the discs, are they the vented ones? if they are, I'm sure we can come to an arrangement

I do have a couple of pairs of MG seats. Not sure on the condition though as they’ve been in my garage for some time.

I’ll have a look but I presume it will have 4 pots and vented discs, I would use them myself but seeing as I’ve just bought new discs and pads might as well stick to the standards for a while.
