Being as consensus seems to be that really low mileage TVRs are bad news then I am in trouble! I got into my Griff the other day and the (older style) LCD display had reset itself to 0 miles! Before you ask I have not sent it round the clock and back to the start! Anyone know why this has happened and more importantly how to fix it? I thought that it must have some kind of EPROM to remember the value but every time I turn the ignition off it looses any subsequent mileage! Maybe it has some kind of watch battery keeping the mileage value which has gone flat?? No idea.

Lee, there is a big watch battery in the speedo. Pain to get at, but thats what your problem is.

Join the club - my '95 Griff has just done the same. Must be a y2k+1 problem! I'd really appreciate some tips on how to do the job.

Nah, I usually leave it running* - cheaper than wacky weed!

We still on for tonight pal? (ooerr missus)

*disclaimer - Don't try this at home kids it could result in serious damage to your or the neighbours health. Always ask the bill payer before using gas emitting appliances for pleasure purposes
