Remapping a 4.0 Pre cat

HOw much is it roughly to havea pre cat remapped and wheres best to have this kind of thing done?

A friend of mine has just purchased one and I am asking on his behalf

Why does he need it re-mapped?

Well, the car is running rich and hes talking about replacing AFM and I suggested (in my limited knowledge) that maybe a remap would improve the car all round

Im willing to be corrected though

If he hasn't modified it then theres no need for a re-map.Take it to a specialist for a tune up/diagnosis,preferably one with a rolling road

Ahhh

It has a high lift cam fitted if thats classed as a remappable offense?
