Scooby Flywheels
Discussion
As far as I know it is, early cars used a 220mm clutch but his should use a 230mm. I use a AP Organic clutch and I've been amazed at how much abuse its put up with.
To double check I would phone API Engines

STi clutch will fit fine. They are the same size as UK cars year for year. (The size changed in 1998 IIRC) But you can do better than an STi clutch - have a look at something like an Exedy organic clutch. You can fit the larger clutches to an early car if you get the flywheel skimmed. This is worth doing anyway to guard against judder. Oh, and I have it on good authority that you should replace the spiggot bearing as a matter of course during a clutch change.
I'm having the clutch on my Sportwagon replaced next week by TSL (between Leicester & Nottingham). They are replacing it with an uprated AP Organic clutch which is good for 350bhp/330lbft which is about the limit of the WRX gearbox.
The most important thing is i am guaranteed to lose the JJJUDDDDDER, and it won't come back, so it's worth the expense just for that (£800) and the clutch is a bit lighter than than the OEM so less achey left leg. For that you get the complete clutch kit inc sealed spigot bush, uprated thrust bearing and skimmed flywheel (they have several in stock ready to fit) and they have their own machine shop onsite too so do all the work themselves and it's guaranteed.
They do scoobys in their sleep and take about c.5hrs to do the job. These guys do a lot of work with scoobys and have an excellent reputation for solid, good quality work coupled with excellent technical knowhow.
Give them a call on 0115 937 7200 and if nothing else they will give you good advice FOC. their web is www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk/
