steering rack gaitors

just changed my steering rack gaitors today....
i orderd 2 new ones from racetech tvr a couple of weeks ago, and they didnt fit.grrrrrr so whilst the car was in bits i had to hunt something down,and ended up fitting universal ones.
they fit ok,but they wont sit properly i.e if you turn from lock to lock the crumple and stay that way in places.
im gonna change them again. anybody know where i can get the right ones!
i think all griff racks are the same?
i tried to find the toyota ones as mentioned on the griff pages,but the didnt fit?
my car is a 98 500.
i also noticed my ball joints need replacing on the front top and bottom and the steering rack ball joints - anybody have the fitment/part numbers for these?
ive bought a few genuine tvr parts now,and the prices are silly when alot of the stuff is rover/ford etc.

Saab 90/9000 top BJs
Lada Riva ISH bottom BJs ~ but it seems only a few happened to fit others need reaming out a bit ~ so many advise genuine TVR part.
Steering track rod ends are commonly Lockheed AP part No TA687 (non-PAS).
