Stop me if there is a thread on this, but has anyone seen the latest Vodaphone ad with a stranded Chimaera with an electrical problem. I wonder if Ben Samuelson agreed to this type of publicity?

That's not good. Most breakdown companies disguise the make of cars in their adverts to avoid any controversy.

It is indeed, you get a quick flash of the stranded Chimaera and then a break down man gets emailed the circuit diagrams through his mobile to fix it. When I first saw it I had a little "mini rant" about oh great more negative press with a broken down TVR but once I calmed down I now think so what. The ad is about Vodaphone and mobile email etc not the car, I assume the ad agency picked a TVR because they look good and match all the beautiful people in the advert not on some sinister slur mission so Its not worth getting all hot under the collar and over sensitive about.

Besides the more laughable thing is ok Vodaphone have the technology to email the wiring diagrams to a mobile but who are they kidding if they think Blackpool could supply the right diagram for the car, in the right format, or even manage to send an email before the poor sod at the side of the road died of hypothermia.

Now come on lads, we're being a bit harsh here, aren't we? Of course TVR do have wiring diagrams... The difficulty would be in training Ned to translate them from their back-of-fag-packet sketches and computerised for the email thing to work! Paws don't work mouses very well..........
