Carpet Conundrum

SWMBO has been complaining about to state of the carpet in our Mini so I’ve now got permission to spend some money on a new one.
Someone “upgraded” the old girl (the car, not the wife!) with the complete interior from a Mayfair. That’s mostly gone, the seats and the door cards have been replaced with a half-leather interior from a late model Cooper in black with red piping (which nicely matches the Damask Red paintwork).
The dilemma is: red carpet to match the red paintwork or black carpet to match the interior? Which does the panel think will work best?

either looks ok, the red makes it look more cooper ish, but they get covered in poop easily, where black looks better for longer. Go for a combo, get the red base carpet and black mats :-) I have tan and black in my other car and it looks nice. I was sick of the tan mats looking dirty.
