Diablo 6.0VT "Active Suspension" - How does it work...

If it's the same as the Murci then I believe it changes the damper/shocks settings to soft<->hard. It can be manually set or left in auto mode and is adjusted on your driving.
I often see it goto 1 when I'm on the motorway.
So hopefully it's the same setup. Jonny5 should be the man to answer it I guess as he has a 6.0

Generally flashes the red error light, common problem.... There are 4 settings , I can only presume it selects the most appropriate suspension setting for how you're travelling. Mine is set to to 3 usually, but goes to 1 if I'm motoring
will dig out the book incase that's all bollox.

Nope, I'd say thats spot on.
Thanks for quick answer!
Is the difference between settings very noticeable?
Does Active Suspension also mean you have the front end lift function for speed humps? Is this speed related (ie you can only make the nose rise at speeds below ??mph)? How fast does the nose lift - do you sit waiting for pressure to arrive with traffic behind you or is it pretty instant?

On the Murci it has a separate button for the lift, it's at the front left away from the other switches we just talked about. So can't help ya there mate.
It works below 25mph, and work when moving and also goes up quick.

I think so, seems more planted on '1'
On the 6.0 the nose lifts in sub 10 seconds, some say don't use it - some say use it all the time. Remember these shocks, their control units and on early murcie's are subject to failure (4 at the front, 2 at the back). Mike Pullen can refurb the unit, but not sure about the control unit itself.
so when are you joining the 6 club?
....so can you lift the nose while still moving (below 25) as you approach a speed hump? I guess I'm asking: do you have to stop and make people wait or can you sort of anticipate its movement and pretty much clear speed humps (albeit slowly) without stopping?
Is there much difference between the settings if you manually select anything from 1 to 4?

How do the brakes hold up to track use or hard driving?
My Murci ones faid after about 3 sessions, and make a grinding noise, but according to the workshop they are in fine condition and have 70% wear left!!

Jon, would the part not be the same on the Murci to the 6.0 for the lifting, can't see why this would only go on Murci's and not all cars mate.....I might check this one out if am bored today!!

....you saw mine in action at Marham ....and no probs, they are a million times better on the 6.0L than the previous 5.7L VT's (which were truly awful as many a passenger will testify to)!!!Marham was wet when we were there and you don't need the brakes much on that layout - plus there are long fast stretches to cool the brakes between applications (which is why Marham is a very good track day venue IMO). Have you EVER caused the brakes to fade on your car Tony?

What I meant was the 6.0 and the early murcie's shared the same suspension & lifting which is prone to failure. Later Murcie's have different rev suspension, denoted by a different colour sleave on the shock unit which doesn't have said problem

What fails? is there a fix or an opportunity for somebody to work out a fix?
Either the shock, or the control unit. Previously you were looking at £1000 per shock (4 at front 2 at back). Now the shock can be refurb'd for £250-ish
I'm no technie, but speak to the god Mike Pullen - he'll tell ya what you need to know.
The active suspension adjusts automatically depending on speed. The faster you go, the lower the number. It adjusts the stiffness of the spring rate.
I have the original settings in a press pack somewhere if you want to know the factory description.
I'll look it out over the weekend and post it.
