Graham HIll Trivia Q

Mate of mine was quizmaster at his local last night and got them to identify this driver:

Someone questioned it though as he is wearing a full face helmet.. any thoughts, a quick google shows it's around this time that full face lids came about so I see nowt wrong..

I'm pretty sure that Graham Hill was one of the first drivers to start using a full-face helmet so it would seem to be correct to me.

Definitely Hill. Full face helmets began to be used in 1968. Dan Gurney, Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill were early users of these new types of helmets. By 1970 most drivers had switched over to the full face design. By 1972 they all had.

I even think Dan Gurney tried out an early full face design in 1968.

Graham and Damon both had/have the 'somewhere-or-other' Rowing Club design on their helmets. That is the white 'arrow' like bars around the black dome.

They're the colours of the London Rowing Club, of which Graham had been a member before he discovered motor racing.
