Ralf says title a matter of time for Toyota

Toyota's Ralf Schumacher considers himself one of the top three drivers in Formula One and insists it is only a matter of time before Toyota wins the F1 title.

"I definitely count myself among the three strongest drivers in the world," Schumacher, 31, told Bild newspaper on Friday.

"Certainly (Fernando) Alonso and (Kimi) Raikkonen are fast, but I don't have any reason to hide behind anyone.

"If I weren't convinced of my abilities, I wouldn't be in Formula One."

Hoping to emerge from the shadows of his brother Michael after his retirement last year, Ralf said Toyota had improved with each season.

"Toyota is the team of the future," he said.

"The company and everyone working for it has one goal - to lead Toyota to the top. The Formula One title is only a question of time

Since when has Ralf been one of the top three drivers in the world. He's not even the Third best driver in his family, lol!!!!!!

Actually, no. Every driver should recognise their strengths and weaknesses compared to the other drivers. Then they can make judgements on how to beat the guy who may be doing a better job than they are. There is a lot more to winning than having natural talent, the lower formula's are full of naturally faster drivers than their competitors who will never be as sucessful as the smarter but naturally slower driver.

oh, PS. Can i have a pint of what ralfs on please?

nope, Im afraid if you dont think youre the best then you'll win sod all, If you dont think youre the best after that many seasons in F1 then you might as well pack up and go home. The guy is mince though, he's never shown me any strokes of brilliance, even coulthard who continually gets pelters has proved his fantastic race craft with wins at monaco and such like, ralf has done nothing except tour around in the midfield and pick up a massive salary.

Interesting that you mention Ralf and DC in the same breathe... two guys who insisted they were better than Damon Hill but have done jack all to prove it!

I always rated Hill, Coulthard is a better driver than Ralf though. I always wonder how good Coulthard would have been if he hadnt pulled over for Mika.
