Tyre sizes

What tyre sizes are people running at the back?? Many people on 285/650's?? Is there a lot of difference in grip over the 265 or 250?

I pressume the 285 is a Dunlop,are these a UK tyre for the Tuscan's,the only 18 in that width and low diametre is a Pirelli but its designed for the 911 and too hard,are you guys running these on 11's?

we run either 250*640 all round or 285*650 on the rear. I can't say i've noticed much difference in grip levels but they are more consistant throughout the race and wear better.

The only trouble i find with them is they take longer to warm up on a cold damp track if your out for an early qually..

They also upset the brake balance requiring some fiddling

Thanks for that. Looks like im going 285 on the back! Not sure im going to have much bodywork left by the time ive fitted them!

yes Dunlop, same compound (257) as the 250's Im running the 285's on 10 inch rims
