front clam

can anyone tell me cost of replacing gto 3 front clam to a 3r clam i have seen it done by someone

Clam will be about £3500 + vat + paint + fitting.

IIRC.

(actually that was the cost of my new rear clam, front may be slightly cheaper)

Gary at Crazy horses can convert a early clam to the later style

he cuts the lights out and replaces them with the later ones

its exactly how Noble do it !

i've toyed wiht the idea on mine - but i think i prefer the round headlight look

also every 3r i have seen has misty lights and the beam is apparently much weaker

who has a 3r and is it misty ?

Brightness is similar to 2.5 style, but yes, they do fog up.

I have a M400 that isn't misty and its got Xennon HID beams So there!
To avoid the condesation the head lamp void must be completely dry and the air inside devoid of water.
Obviously this isn't very easy to achieve, so when you change Bulbs etc, pop a silica gel pouch inside the cover and seal the cover and screws with good quality Dow Corning sillicone sealant.
I havn't seen any condensation inside my lights and the car has been kept outside.
