hi my name is simon macey ( monaro macey) and im the new monaro man at PICADOR VAUXHALL PLC in southampton.
firstly apologies about the nickname its naff but...it works.
my boss the dealer principal of PICADOR, Graham Jacobs has entrusted me to pick up the batton and put us on
the radar ref monaros. i have to be honest always been a porsche man (964 c2 and 993 c2) in the past. Up until recently ive dissmissed the monaro as an funny old thing that the aussies fiddled with.... then i had the opportunity to take one home for a while ( i took the company fuel card as well thankfully !!) 6.0 vxr, remapped, wortec decats, ap big brakes, in red hot, well......the monaro turned every drive in to an experience, nothing was too much trouble, up the shops for my darling wife ? nooo problem, driving 120 miles to play golf ? yep no probs,
im hooked, im like a 21 year old in a bordello ! WHAT A FANTASTIC CAR... we have 4 in stock ( sorry couldnt help that..) seriously its been a while since ive stepped out of a car and took a long look back as ive walked away.
anyway guys, PICADOR and myself are going to put southampton on the map if the monaros your thing, we are looking to deal, always carry a selection of pre-owned 5.7s and vxrs, offer upgrades and supercharging. the monaro is a fantastic product, the vxr8 is eagerly anticipated, 2007 never looked so tempting....DID IT !!

Hi Simon.

It's great to see that more dealers are showing an interest in Pistonheads, of the four Vauxhall dealers I worked for, none of them had a clue.
