Thought it might make sense to keep all things MGP related in one place.Just finished watching the first quali session for the new session.
First impressions......
Corner speed.....I fear some guys are going to have some big get offs this year due to this.
New liveries....New Yams look cool, love the zx12r sylee paint on the Kwaks, metallic Marlbro paint looks cool too.
Hondas...not quick yet, but early days.
New tyre rules.....does make quali even more intense.
Anyways, heres to a fantastic 07 season of Moto Gp.......Lets GO !!!!!!

The GP wasn't as lively as expected just because Rossi was never going to win and I think he knew this from about lap 4. If the performance is consistent then the Duc's could be a right force when they have the circuits with long straights.
The 125's on the other hand was a belting race. Not seen the 250's yet tho.

For the first time I am actually more excited about the moto gp and superbike seasons than F1, it had been getting closer for the past few years but its definitely tipped over slightly. Curiously I cant stand ferrari in F1 yet Im a staunch ducati fan in moto gp.

The straight line speed of the Duc was amazing, Also suprised they didn't run out of fuel as I think that is the thirstist bike on the grid.
I thought that Rossi was playing cat-and-mouse and was going to make a break 4-5 laps towards the end, However I think even he was suprised of how strong the Duke was at throughout the race.
Great to see the Suzuki's mixing it with the Repsol Honda boys.
Roll on Jerez on the 25th.

Perhaps Rossi was expecting the track surface to get hotter than it did?
Also, there were comments about the nature of this particular circuit. It appeared that they went directly from the long straight to a series of tight bends in which overtaking was difficult. It wouldn't have been surprising for Rossi to have put in a faster lap if he had had a clear path ahead of him, but this circuit played to the Ducati's strengths once it was in front.
Fair play to Stoner - under a lot a pressure, he was faultless.
Stoner was superb, soaking up the pressure, taking Rossi right back when he did come past.
Yamaha do need to find a bit more power I think, but having said that, once you get to the majority of circuits that dont have really long straights, I think the bike will show its strengths.Rossi is a racer,but even he cant beat someone who has a significantly faster machine.
I am also a big believer in the conspiracy that Honda are going to support Pedrobot way more than Nicky this year, he looks so uncomfortable on that bike at the minute.
Suzuki will come into play more too I believe, Hoppers still not fit 100 %.
Overall, I think it will be a close season, with hopefully more winners than in the past.The championship will be won with consistantcy, not runaway wins as in the past.
