Drove the Tamora down to Devon this morning to have a Red Rose 4.0L engine upgrade, Nitron Shocks with Eibach Spring Upgrade, New Battery, Chassis clean and Waxoyl, and Carbon Fiber airtight air box fitted.

It's going to be a very long 3-4 weeks without my Tamoraweepingweepingweeping, but worth the waitbouncebouncebounce.

There was another grey Tamora down there with dark grey alloys. Looked really fantastic. Also a couple of Cerbs, Chims, Griffs and a Tuscan. Could have spent all day just being around those fantastic TVRs.

Could'nt resist a last blast down the M5 with the old engineyikes. Thoroughly pissed all over an Audi TT, and completely spoilt his ego, as he was tailgating mehehe.

I will feel alot more confident about the reliability of my Speed 6 after the upgrade, as I intend to keep the Tamora for many years.

I'm missing it already .... and it's only been 3 hoursweeping.

it sucks when you have to leave them somewhere for work - but the wait will make you apreaciate it so much more.

I know exactly how you feel - my Chim went away on a low loader on Wednesday for about 4 weeks to the bodyshop after someone went into the side of me (my fault unfortunately). I had a final drive that afternoon and I swear it was one of the best, sweetest drives I've ever had!
Miss her like crazy - especially after a perfect day today!

I bet Sods Law that it is the best March whilst my Tiv is away and the worst April,May and June when I'm running it in.

OK, I'm having the work done with Dulford Automotive in Cullompton. Richard Smith came along to a Piston Heads meet in January and I got chatting to him about shocks and engine upgrades. He has alot of experience with TVRs and I was impressed with the setup he has down there in cullompton.

He reccomended the air tight air box, and from pictures of the air box I could'nt resist it. Mine will be in Red. It costs £755, but well worth it I think.

I'm investing alot of money in my Tamora at the moment getting the unreliability issue sorted, but it is worth while in the long run, because I can see myself owning this Tamora for many years to come.

The weather is great out there at the moment ..... ummmm how I miss my Tivcry

Tell me about it! Happened to me in 2005 as well when my neighbour reversed into my Chim. Was in the bodyshop for 2 months during one of the hottest June/Julys we've had.
Deja-Vous for this year as well it seems.
