Trade-in values on Non Factory colours/ resprayed cars

Does anyone have any opinions / experience in this ?

I've found a noble that looks right for me , but before I buy it I'm concerned that
Should I want to trade it in a year or so's time ( don't flame me for wanting to do this , as I don't, but personal circumstances dictate...) are the trade going to be interested?

Equally given 2 bog(ish) standard cars sold privately will the non standard car be harder to find a new owner?( I know it subjective but we're talking black with gold flake , rather than puke green )

any advice gratefully received..

Buyers market with that.
If a buyer likes it they'll but it.
Just as you like it, so someone else will also like it.
If the paintwork is done properly i.e. bulkheads, sills, inner doors etc,you shouldn't have any more trouble selling it than normal IMO.

Everything finds a home - eventually. Dealer told me Silver and Blues move fastest - that's important when you're in a hurry.

car normally get resprayed when they have accident damage and the owner is going to paint the car anyway

what colour is the car

are you sure its not a reapaired write off ?

This is my concern as well. A HPI check shows it to be o.k , but that's not always definative. ( could have been binned on track with a big excess and fixed privately).

It black with a gold/bronze metal flake , and was previously owned by a PH'er.
I think you would probably know it

the only worry i would have is matching the paint job if you end up having a prang or stonechips etc. If it a one off paint mix then i would leave it alone

A one off colour is the only way to fly

If it has a paint code, then it's no more difficult to match than a regular colour.

Flips are a bugger regardless, but armed with the paint code/formula anywhere can repair.
