I'm downgrading! I have RA Nav, which I use everyday but new car has nav built in so won't need RA Nav. Looking at Roadangel plus, which will use same database or the new Snooper Sapphire. I've had a Roadangel before I upgraded to Nav so know what to expect, but what about Sapphire? anyone have one, looks good, but heard that power lead fiddly and prone to break?

I bought a Sapphire last week while suffering a weak moment in Halfords. I think its quite likely going on Ebay this week.

While it looks very nice in the shop its all a bit flash when its on the dash IMHO. It mounts on a long flexi arm meaning it sits 7 inches or so away from the screen in mid air looking like a mini satnav system. Will certainly be too much of a theft risk to leave in the car unlike my old Talex system which I feel fairly happy leaving on the dash all the time.

The other thing I don’t like is the fact that even if you hardwire it into the ignition it still need to be turned on and off manually. Sounds like nothing but Ive got used to other devices turning on and off with the key.

Id imagine the database would be good though, I used to have a Snooper S3 and that never missed a site.
