A bit of advice please. I have a LHD 1999 450 which runs like a dream, but recently I find water in the drivers footwell (LHD, so passengers footwell for RHD cars).

The car is parked on my drive with the Leven hoodcover on. So rainwater cannot enter through the top or window(seals). As I do not drive it in the rain, the water finds its way in while being parked??

Where to look for??

Thanks for your kind suggestions.

Most likely the seal around the brake master cylinder reservoir or the seal around the clutch master cylinder cover.

The seals can be re-made with silicon sealant. It's supposedly even worthwhile checking the rivets on the VIN plate are sealed.

The brake fluid resevoir is on the inner wing make sure the sealant around that is good, also all the areas on the bulkhead where pipes or wires/loom enter the cabin...

Have you got the two indents at the bottom of the door seal, one at either end?
